(Supreme Court Rule 23 Opinion)

Practice Area: Family

Date: August 21, 2017

Outcome: Wife refused to sign the proposed judgment and Husband moved to enforce the judgment. Following a hearing on Husband’s Motion to Enforce the Oral Settlement Agreement, the circuit court granted said motion and subsequently ordered the parties to prepare a judgment consistent with the terms the court previously found were orally agreed to. At the prove-up hearing, Wife testified that she did not enter into the oral settlement agreement freely and voluntarily.
